How to Make an Alien Costume
It's no surprise that we are enthralled by the notion that life exists in other planets. There are more than 100 billion solar systems in the Milky Way, and there are hundreds of billions more in the entire universe. There's nothing better than an amazing alien costume to show your love for this topic.


Alien 1979, a science-fiction horror film, included one of the most famous costumes ever made. The science fiction film is about the crew of the spaceship Nostromo who find an alien egg on an unknown world, and then take it aboard to study. They find something more dangerous.


The uniforms for the Weyland Yutani star freighter Nostromo were created by costume designer John Mollo. He worked on the first Star Wars film. aliencostume was comprised of Captain Dallas Executive Officer Kane, Navigator Lambert and Engineers Parker, Brett and Ash. Additionally, there was the deceitful android Ash as well as Warrant Officer Ripley who was played by Sigourney. Mollo created these uniforms in the style of military utility and incorporated Weyland-Yutani patches into every persona.



Giger developed the concepts for his alien species in a period of two months. He began by creating an emulsion of the creature's anatomy. Then, he laid out the technical components, like pipes, screws and bones, to form the form of the creature. The final appearance was achieved by adding grotesque elements like pustules, decaying sores, and other grotesque details.


Mollo finished the design of the body by end of June, and then began work on the head. Giger began sketching plans to construct the creature. Giger had an idea of adding an additional thumb to the creature's.


The team behind the production became anxious as the date of production was near, as they were still working on an alien costume that was transparent. The time was slipping away and pressure was mounting.


Giger was then able to complete the entire thing himself since nobody else had experience with this kind of work. He worked for hours to create the Alien head from polyester. Eddie Butler received the drawings of the other artists.
