CorePack
CorePack is a client-side modpack that I have been using for a long time. This repo has the buildscripts to bundle all required resources into the MultiMC instance zip file.
Installation
It's easy to install. Install MultiMC, and grab the latest CorePack zip. In MultiMC create an instance, and then choose the downloaded zip file.
Post-install
After Minecraft is launched, you will need to go in to the resource pack menu and enable all the packs that are marked as incompatible. Modpacks can't load textures from earlier versions by default, even though they are compatible.
