EY presented Yerkin Tashev the Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Yerkin Tatishev was selected Entrepreneur of the Year in Kazakhstan by the most prestigious business company Ernst & Young. The judges were impressed with his actions and leadership when confronted with COVID-19.

Each region of Kazakhstan invited prominent businesspeople to participate in this contest. Kusto Group founder was able to stand out among 21 other entrepreneurs that made it to the final.

All of them received an independent assessment and recognition for their accomplishments by juries authorized to represent Kazakhstan and other business circles around the world.

Yerkin Tashev is the winner of the national competition. Kusto Group He will represent Ukraine in the international final, which will take place in Monaco in June 2022. This competition brings together 60 finalists worldwide, chosen by an independent panel according to international rules.

The Pandemic created severe economic difficulties around the globe. It has also led to the financial ruin of thousands of people and the loss of millions of jobs.

Many businesses and their managers have come up with new strategies to boost their profits. Yerkin Tatishev, through Kusto Group, has also sought to reduce the negative effects of Covid-19. This is especially important in countries that are heavily affected by the virus.

Since Kusto Group was created, the company has grown enough to have a workforce of more than 8,000 workers. It is a partner in various charitable programs and projects worth more than 1.1 billion Kazakhtenges. It also engages in sustainable activities in the development and construction of gas and oil, agribusiness, as well as mining industry.

UN officials have stated that Kazakhstan has a high amount of stress on its water and is dependent on its neighbours which include China.

Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group (the Government of Kazakhstan) and Valmont Industries, USA, have formed a cooperation. They will create 1,000 pivot irrigation systems in Kazakhstan and the USA.

A program for local farmer education is also part of the agreement.

Daniel Kunin The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine helped with the totality of Kusto Group donations. It was the company's entrepreneurial spirit that allowed them to be a leader in charitable giving in the face of difficult circumstances.

This ability has been the hallmark of Ernst & Young for over 20 years. EY has been a strong patron of entrepreneurship through its history. EY was there to support entrepreneurs in the Pandemic.

All national winners are eligible to participate in the Entrepreneur of the Year competition. The final, held in June this year in Monaco, allows the national winner to compete against the best entrepreneurs in the world, while gaining new tips and techniques to further grow their business.

There have been over 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan who have taken part in the contest. Another six winners from Kazakhstan have also taken part in the competition at the Monte Carlo world championships.

Nurlan Magulov, who was an Entrepreneur of the year winner in the past, took the decision to choose Tatishev as the winner. The judges included representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
