The Danish government has recreated the entire country in the hit computer game Minecraft.

The government hopes to make learning more enjoyable for students by being the first country to fully integrate into the game of blocks Minecraft games.

It has even produced an array of lessons plans for teachers to assist them in navigating the virtual version of their country.

The Ministry of the Environment in Denmark has created a Minecraft model of Denmark for players to explore.

The model for download is comprised of 4 billion blocks and needs one terabyte of storage space.

What is MINECRAFT?

Minecraft was launched in 2009. Minecraft was first created in 2009.

They can then explore various terrains, such as forests and caves.

Players can also fly in the air for a birds-eye view of the landscape.

Players are provided with blocks and tools to build towns and cities.

As players advance they will acquire advanced tools and building blocks made from different materials.

The game was initially made for the PC but now there are Xbox 360 and mobile versions available.

The model is comprised of around 4000 billion bricks. It takes up about 1TB (1000 Gigabytes) for those who want to download the entire United States.

"We have built Denmark online in Minecraft to allow young people can plant their own forest and create riding school, a lake, biogas plant, wind turbine and many more , said Kirsten Brosbol, Danish Minister for the Environment.

Girls are successful in street gangs because of better people... Your dog truly DOES love you: Research shows that love...

The imagination is limit.

"This is our way to create a connection between the digital and natural world."

It was developed by Simon Kokkendorf, Thor Bjorn Nielsen and Geodatastyrelsen (the Danish mapping arm of the Danish government),

They used publically available information about the country ranging from elevation models to information about buildings and roads, and transformed it into Minecraft's distinctive bricks.

The couple also designed a navigation system so visitors can easily find their own neighborhood in the model.

They will also have the opportunity to view nature and landscapes in their natural habitat.

'Uou can 'go for a stroll' through the countryside everywhere in Denmark, and you can view any place in Denmark in a similar way as Google Street View,' the Agency said.

The Orestad school in Copenhagen has been testing the system of teaching maths and geography to students.

In the past, the teacher would play the old map of Denmark in the classroom and let the students squabble over the names of the different regions of Denmark according to Katrin Kristensen, a teacher at Orestad school.

In the future, Danish school children and others will be able to keep track of in the game plants and animals they've observed or encountered in nature.

'Now Denmark is available right there on the children's computers or tablets, underpinning the idea of using digital tools in teaching.

"We have had positive experiences using Minecraft in teaching maths for instance.

We will be able to stimulate learning even more with the'real Denmark" now available as a Minecraft World.

"Pupils have more fun to work with their own home and street, and so on."

However the developers have made one modification to the game - eliminating the possibility of using dynamite to blast up areas.
