1. Berpengaruh. Karena penggunaan sudut pandang orang ketiga dan pertama (terlebih sudut pandang orang kedua) akan menghasilkan gaya cerita yang berbeda tipe. Tidak bisa disamakan dalam penilaian, karena terpisah menjadi dua kriteria yang berbeda. Maka dari itu, saya pikir bila dalam kontes, lebih baik ditentukan sudut pandang orang ke berapa yang diperbolehkan.
2. Membaca plot baru kemudian menentukan (atau meraba) karakter tokoh seperti apa dan bagaimana.
3. Plot yang paling awal masuk, secara berurutan dan sistematis. Guna menghindari kemungkinan adanya plot yang belum terbaca.
4. EYD penting dalam plot, tapi bukan segalanya. Bagaimana pun juga, EYD akan /memperindah/ plot itu sendiri—menarik orang untuk membaca. Karena tulisannya yang rapi, tanda baca digunakan dengan benar. Bagi saya, isi cerita dan diksi yang lebih ‘penting’ ketimbang EYD.
