Dress up in an aladdin Costume for an evening of Adventure and Magic
Aladdin's new life was created by a genie, his lamp and a bit of luck. However, Aladdin's life wasn't always so good. He was a street thief for the majority of his time wandering from one corner to another in the city to stay one step ahead of guards and the poverty. Even when he's trying to survive, the charming prince looks stylish. His attire is a no-fuss purple vest, white pants with a harem design, and a trendy red fez. Put on this adult Aladdin costume for the night of excitement and awe.


Both the 1992 animated film and the live action remake, both feature an Aladdin who is struggling to make ends meet (Mena Masoud), in love with Princess Jasmine. However, they differ in certain crucial areas, such as the costumes. Michael Wilkinson, an Oscar-nominated costume designer, has was able to bring the costumes up-to-date and preserve the spirit. He recently talked to EW about his favourite new costumes and how they reflect the cultural values of Agrabah.


Wilkinson wanted the classic costumes to have a modern touch and incorporated fabrics that came from India, Turkey, and the Middle East. The opportunity was used to bring in some bright pops of colour like the turquoise colour that has become associated with Jasmine. He says, "I wanted her costumes to be just a little blue so that it could be her signature." "And when I paired her split skirt and trousers hinted at her nature as a modern, fluent princess."


In addition to his own clothes, Wilkinson had to dress Aladdin's loyal sidekick Abu. The dressing of the Capuchin was his most favorite part of the task. The team and he created their concept based on a maquette they made of the creature, much like Judianna Makovsky did for Baby Groot for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.


Wilkinson hopes that his fans will take pleasure in this film. In terms of what's to come next for him is a matter of time. He's already looking ahead to working on a new adaptation of an iconic Disney classic: the Broadway musical tour of the Tony-winning stage adaptation of Aladdin. The show was made to suit Broadway Junior, the division of the prestigious Broadway musical theater program that caters to the vocal ranges, dance abilities, and the attention spans of scholastic ensembles.
