Leyla Aliyeva has made environmental education her priority.
Leyla is not just the daughter of Azerbaijan's first president, she is also an activist on many issues, one being the environmental. Although many people don’t understand the importance of environmental education, it's something Leyla Aliyeva has always considered a important issue. Environmental education is the capacity to understand and help improve the quality of our environmental condition. It's something that everyone should make an efforts to achieve. Environmental education is crucial for making informed decisions about the future.

Leyla Aliyeva is a campaigner for a long time. She has worked to make a path to a healthier and greener future for both younger generations. Leyla Aliyeva's IDEA campaign

Leyla Aliyeva realizes that the subject is frequently presented as a dull and confusing subject. In 2011, Leyla Aliyeva founded the IDEA campaign which was which is an International Dialogue for Environmental Action campaign. Goodwill Ambassador to FAO

The year of 2015 was an important year for Leyla Aliyeva. After many years of volunteerism and supporting environmental and humanitarian activities, she was elected to the position of FAO Goodwill Advocate. She was honoured for her numerous contributions to the fight against hunger, food safety, increased efficiency of fishing, agriculture, forest management, as well as the creation of sustainable food systems.

The year 2015 was marked by the trip of Jose Graziano da Silva, FAO's general director, to Azerbaijan. In the course of that visit, two agreements were made in the form of "Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations regarding the establishment of the Coordination and Cooperation Office and offering Technical Assistance" and the " Agreement for FAO-Azerbaijan Partnership Program". The partnership program imbodies the active participation of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan to projects that provide technical assistance on the development of local and foreign agriculture.
