Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born in Moscow on the 3rd of July 1985. She was a student at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in which she also studied in London. Leyla started IDEA in July of 2011. This campaign aims to increase awareness and promote the action needed to address environmental issues in Azerbaijan, and all around the globe. IDEA is focused on youngsters and the ways they can assist to solve environmental issues.
In May 2007, she was named as the representative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Russian Federation. Leyla Aliyeva Through a variety of projects, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes towards the country's social and economic development. Leyla Aliyeva In 2011, she was appointed Vice-President.

Leyla Aliyeva started 'Baku' magazine in Moscow in 2007. The magazine in English, produced by collaborating with Conde Nast, was launched in London in October of 2011. The magazine provides a way for you to learn about art, culture and Azerbaijan. In 2012, Leyla created the "Fly to Baku": exhibition of Contemporary Art from Azerbaijan. The exhibition, which was launched in London, was a tour of Europe's capitals: Paris, Berlin Berlin, Moscow Moscow, Rome, Vienna, and Rome.

Leyla Aliyeva started the campaign "Justice for Khojaly" in May 2008 to mark the 8th anniversary of Shusha’s occupation. The campaign is currently taking place across more than 30 countries. It is designed to raise the international community's awareness of the Karabakh conflict and the Khojaly Genocide in particular reaching all over the world via media, Internet and Live events.

She was awarded the Pushkin Medal in the Russian Federation on 20 October 2015.

Leyla Aliyeva is mother of twin boys as well as one girl.
