Han Solo Costume: Dress up like the Smuggler this Halloween
Han Solo, from the dusty cantinas on Tatooine to his mighty Millennium Falcon is undoubtedly one of Star Wars' most iconic characters. The smuggler-turned-pilot made the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs, saved the galaxy from the Empire and fell for Princess Leia. He's one of the most famous movie heroes ever, thanks to his iconic swagger.

There are a variety of ways to dress like Han Solo for Halloween, even though the costume changes from film to movie. The new Solo: A Star Wars Story is coming to theaters in 2018. Now is the time to channel your inner-smuggler. Join forces with Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian to once again save the galaxy.

Han Solo Costume
As a smuggler, Han's outfit reflects his rough-around-the-edges character. Although his outfits have changed, he has always been a pilot who is a master of the skies with sly humor and nimbleness.

Han Solo's first Star Wars outfit was a brown-tan flightsuit with matching boots and a belt. It was this outfit that Han wore to meet Luke and Leia for the first time in A New Hope. He wore the outfit while fighting Imperial forces in Cloud City, and when he entered Battle of Endor.

Han was wearing a dark-green military jacket under his flight suit in The Empire Strikes Back. The jacket had long, notch-shaped lapels with a single vent at the rear. The jacket also featured four billows pockets, two on each hip and two on his chest. It also featured a large flapped pocket on his lower back.

Han chose a black vest for his return to the big-screen in Return of the Jedi. han solo costume incorporated elements of his outfits worn during A New Hope as well as The Empire Strikes Back. His vest from Return of the Jedi is slightly shorter and made of lighter cotton than his original vest. The vest had the same four loops, but the tops did not line up with the horizontal yoke like in A New Hope. The poacher pocket was also removed and replaced with a plain lower-back.

Han finished off his look with a pair dark blue pants that had a yellow Corellian Blood stripe on the side. The stripes looked like tuxedo stripes or colored piping. However, the Star Wars Expanded Universe says that Han received them for his service during the war between the Republic and the Empire.

Anovos, a nerdy costumier of elite quality, offers this official Han Solo costume for $960. The entire outfit is made of a polycotton blend, and has been digitally dyed in the same dark blue as Han's original Bespin vest. The outfit includes a belt, a matching pair of pants and boot covers to fit over any pair shoes.
