One beautiful day, a little girl named Katie was born. She was the cutest little girl that was ever born. Her parents were so happy when they found out they were having a girl. A few years later it was Katie's birthday, her 11th birthday. Kate was so happy to have friends and family. Until her mom called her name very angry. Katie was kind of scared because her mother never yells at her like that. Especially not on her birthdays. Katie walks softly and slowly walking to her mother's room. Katie you will not have a birthday party after what you wrote! But what did I write mommy? Katie asked softly. Katie's mom handed her the paper that was in her hand. Katie read the paper which said, "I really hat my mom I don't even want a stupid birthday party anyway she's so lame and the ugliest person alive I HATE HER!" HUH! Katie shouted. Mom, I promise I never wrote this about you, I love you to death. A couple of minutes Katie thought and thought about it. Katie thought of her older sister, Emma. Katie told her mom she'll be right back and stormed angrily to Emma's room. Emma! Katie shouted. WHAT! Emma shouted back. Katie was super angry at her sister that she picked up a chair and she threw it at her window. MOM GET KATIE! Emma screamed. Katie had angry tears in her eyes and told Emma she hated her and ran to her room crying. Katie was having the worst birthday ever; Katie never ever cries on her birthday. Katie knew what she had to do to have the best birthday ever. She got everything she needed for her "new" birthday. The first thing on her list was telling of her friends about her new party but told them not to tell their parents. The second thing she needed is a new cake but was lost on getting that cake. Katie decided to ask her friends to bake a cake for her birthday. Of course, they all said yes because they all love making especially together. Katie was so happy to be baking a cake with her friends, but then she noticed she doesn't have money for any supplies to bake a cake. I think she's in double trouble now. Katie thought her birthday was really over this time, but her best friend Layla told her that she has an idea on helping her have a better birthday. Katie had nothing to lose so she was willing to hear her idea. Layla told her whole plan and Katie had an idea that she knew for sure would work. Katie was going to ask her dad for help. Her dad never dad never gets mad at her, but he might be after what her mother told him. Katie was hoping her mom didn't tell her what she think she did. Katie walked nervously to her dad in the kitchen, but she found her sister Emma telling her dad everything. Katie knew she was in really big trouble, but she still went to her dad. Dad......may we talk about something please? Katie asked softly. Yes of course I think we should talk about something as well honey. Katie knew what her dad wanted to talk about, but she was hoping it was something good. Katie told her about everything the note, her party, her entire birthday and what her sister said.

When her dad heard everything, he knew Katie wasn't lying to him. So, dad.... will you help you with my new birthday party...? No. Her dad said. Why no? Katie asked sadly.
