Minecon 2013 The third annual Minecraft convention will take place in Orlando, Florida, from November 2 to 3 with tickets and hotels available in July.

Notch claims that he picked Orlando because he spun a globe before putting an axe through the middle. However, we believe there are other reasons. Obviously, Orlando is the home of Universal Studios' magical theme park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Also, the weather in November is expected to be gorgeous.
Minecon 2012 was held at Disneyland Paris in November. It attracted 7,000 people. The previous year, it had opened a store in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 2011 event attracted 5,000 attendees, and it hosted impressive scale models of real-life Minecraft monsters, including a 40 foot Enderdragon.
