King Krule Merchandise Revealed
Archy Marshall, formerly known as King Krule, is a 28-year-old singer-songwriter hailing from South London. He gained fame under the name of Zoo Kid, with two singles released on Bandcamp prior to the release of the album he titled 6 Feet Beneath the Moon in 2013 - an album that was critically acclaimed and earned him a spot on Pitchfork's Best New Music list. Marshall's follow-up album for 2017 The Ooz also received critical praise. He's now back with Man Alive!, a fourth full-length record that takes Marshall's sound in new directions. It's evident from the track "Seaforth" that Marshall has matured and is more confident. The track explores fascinating tonal gray areas, mixing electronic music with post-punk and jazz - a hallmark of his music that is genre-bending.


The track is a breath fresh, sparkling air thanks to its swirling rhythms and sparkling keyboards. The album is more subdued than his previous albums, which were frantic in nature. It also displays a more considered approach to poetry. Marshall has stated in a recent iD article that he spent his adolescence "in and in mental hospitals [andthe psychiatric clinic". Marshall's latest release isn't just a continuation of his genre-bending music, it also marks the return of his fashion-conscious side.
