MultiMCManage Minecraft Instances with Ease



Overview

MultiMC is an alternative launcher for Minecraft. It lets you have multiple, cleanly separated instances of Minecraft (each with their own mods and resource packs, saves, etc) and helps you manage them and their associated options using a simple but powerful interface.

- Manage multiple isolated instances of Minecraft and keep them clean. You can drill down into the details, examining the logs, mods and everything else easily. MultiMC is predictable and will perform what you tell it. Fine control over Java settings, timers. Each instance has settings that you can set in addition to the global settings. - MultiMC game logs contain additional information that can help to identify issues, and they are color-coded. - Support for running old versions exactly as they were released, instead of relying on compatibility hacks. - Kill Minecraft easily in the event that it crashes or freezes. - MultiMC is extremely lightweight and can run in the background and keeping an eye on the game even on old machines where every megabyte of memory is crucial. It is easy to install common mod loaders like Forge, Fabric and LiteLoader (and likely more incoming). Minecraft world management as well as resource/texture packs management. Import and export Minecraft instances to share with anyone. Import modpacks imported from various platforms like Modrinth and CurseForge (via import from FTB app), Technic, ATLauncher and FTB legacy. The more you have, the better.

Download & Install

Select the appropriate download for your operating system from the list below. Extract the archive into the desired folder and then open it. Make sure that you install it to be executable for you if you're using Linux.

MultiMC requires Qt5 to be installed on Linux. If you don't have it, you may have to install the following packages according to the the distribution:



- Arch: qt5-base - OpenSuse: libqt5-qtbase - CentOS/Fedora/RHEL: qt5-qtbase - Ubuntu/Debian: libqt5core5a libqt5network5 libqt5gui5

Source Code

MultiMC is based on the code available on GitHub. The source code is provided to facilitate collaboration. The main changes to the binary distribution in comparison to code are the inclusion of API keys and branding needed for the launcher to function, along with packaging-related adjustments.
