Adult Red Riding Hood Costume
Red Riding Hood is always cleaning her hood when she's not delivering muffins. Unfortunately, the village she lives in has a problem with werewolves. The famous werewolf hunter Father Solomon (Gary Oldman) has set out on a mission to eliminate the beast and he believes Red is in danger. She isn't sure but there are a lot to consider.





Up until recently Little Red Ridinghood's sole connection to the public was through the fairy story. Nowadays, it's common to see references to the tale in popular literature and culture. Many of these are inspired by the original story and others adapt it to fit a twist of their own.





The Brothers Grimm version was published in 1812, and is believed to be the most common. Other authors, such as Charles Perrault and James Thurber told the story in a different way. Through the years, it has been adapted to film and television numerous times.





The story of Little Red Riding Hood is presented in a variety of different ways, including sexual themes and dark images. The story has been studied using a variety of theories of critical analysis, including Freudian analysis, deconstruction and feminist criticism. This has led to a myriad of variations and retellings of the story, which emphasize the darker sides.





The most famous of these is likely the 1994 movie made by Tim Burton. This darker version of the classic tale had heavy werewolf action, and a less happy end for Red. The film didn't do well, but was very well-received when it first came out. Some recent adaptations of the tale include the 2008 TV series The CW's Red Riding Hood and the animated 2010 film The Wolf and the Hound.





The story has been told in many other forms of media, such as the tabletop roleplaying game Dimension 20 as well as the manga Tokyo Akazukin. There are also red riding hood costume that have been based on the tale, including the Red Hood and the Wild Woods game for the Nintendo DS.
