I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to discuss the payment process for the McIntosh C2700 you are interested in purchasing. As you may know, the Reverb website charges a significant amount of fees for using their platform, which unfortunately makes this particular trade unprofitable for us, as we are losing almost $1000.
Considering the high cost of fees, we would like to propose completing the payment for the audio equipment outside the Reverb website. This would mean that we would be able to offer you a lower price for the equipment (don't mind halving the difference - where we secure a $500 profit and you secure a $500 discount), as we would not have to pay the high fees associated with using the Reverb website.
We would be able to transfer ownership of the audio equipment to you immediately after receiving payment, without having to wait for the Reverb website to release the funds.
We know that using the reverb website provides security for both buyers and seller, but this is my first listing and never expected such huge fees. To further make you feel more comfortable, you could also make payments using your credit card. This comes with standard fraud protection for both parties and should give you some peace of mind.
We hope that you can understand our reasoning for proposing this alternative payment method. We believe that it would be a mutually beneficial arrangement for both parties involved. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns, and we would be happy to address them.
