Telaah Muggle sebagai salah satu materi pembelajaran di Hogwarts tentu saja mempunyai andil yang cukup besar bagi para wizard untuk mempelajari bagaimana kehidupan Muggle.
Pentingkah pelajaran TML? Tentu saja penting. Kenapa? Jika TML dihilangkan tentu saja para wizard (terutama pureblood) akan kesulitan untuk menyesuaikan kehidupan wizard dengan muggle. Keberadaan sihir pun akan mudah untuk dilacak jika para wizard tidak bertindak layaknya Muggle ketika mereka berada di lingkungan Muggle.
