The character was played by actor Joseph Quinn, Munson first was seen in the fourth season of Stranger Things this summer. In one scene, he sang Metallica's 1986 song "Master of Puppets", which helped defeat Vecna. The performance was so spectacular that it topped Billboard's Hot Rock Songs chart. Metallica's James Hetfield went a step above this Halloween by dress up as Munson, complete with the denim jacket and hair mullet. Hetfield posted a photo of himself wearing his Munson outfit on Instagram with the caption "Eddie Munson wishes you a Happy Halloween!"
