Earlier this month, Minecraft developer Mojang announced May 16 (North America) and May 14 (Europe) dates for the release of the game's boxed PS3 edition. Mojang's Owen Hill commented on the PlayStation Blog announcement that Mojang is "aiming for Q2/Q3 in the coming year for the PS4/Vita versions."
Hill stated that Mojang will soon release information regarding Cross Buy and PS3 to PS4 upgrade options. Minecraft mods However, Hill did mention that Mojang plans to add world-transferring features. "The plan is to enable users to transfer data from PS3 to PS4," he wrote. "We are still working out how to do this with the Vita version."
Mojang also showcased the PC version's future world-building options. It will be made available in an update.
