1. Mukolitik
Asetilsistein (Fluimucil®)
Digunakan sebagai mukolitik, dan mencegah keracunan parasetamol
Efek samping: bronkospasme, gangguan saluran cerna
Asetilsistein memecah ikatan disulfida pada dahak.
Komposisi: Tiap kapsul mengandung N-acetylcysteine

2. Antitusif
Codeine (Codipront®)
Selain digunakan sebagai antitusif, juga dapat digunakan utk analgesik serta antidiare.
Mekanisme kerja: aksi sentral pada pusat batuk di medulla.
Efek samping: ketergantungan, mual, muntah, konstipasi, mulut kering, sakit kepala.
KOMPOSISI: Tiap Kapsul mengandung Codeine anhydrate 30 mg, Phenyltoloxamine 10 mg (keduanya dalam bentuk resinat dengan ion-exchanger)

3. Ekstemporan
Guaifenesin/Gliseril guaiakolat/GG
Digunakan sebagai ekspektoran pd batuk berdahak, mekanisme kerjanya dg cara meningkatkan volume dan menurunkan viskositas dahak di trakea dan bronki, kemudian merangsang pengeluaran dahak menuju faring.
Efek samping: mual, muntah, batu ginjal.
Komposisi: Tiap tablet mengandung Glyceryl Guaiacolate 100 mg
