1. When did you receive the call?
I received the call at around 11pm when I was still back at the station, I was getting ready to head home for the weekend
2. What happened when you got onto the scene?
When I arrived at the scene it was already closed off by other officers, one of them directed me to the male body they found
3. Were you aware of the severity of the case when you first arrived?
All I knew was that a male body was turned up, I knew it was severe but I didn’t know it was murder right away
4. What condition was Donny’s body in?
He was lying on his back and it seemed he had suffered trauma to the face, his face was also covered in blood but his skull was not shattered
5. When arriving to the house of Carson, how did he approach the situation?
He came right out with it when I asked him what happened, he told me that he didn’t mean to kill him and he said that Donny had a gun. We did not find a gun on Donny at the scene of the crime though.
There was no gun found by Donny’s Body?
No there was not, although Mr. Carson told me that he said Donny had had a gun, there was no gun found on the body at the scene of the crime.
6. After entering the house what did you see?
Upon entering the house to allow Carson to call his lawyer I noticed a locked cabinet with a couple rifles in it. It was still locked up but we still seized it for public safety. I also noticed a bottle of scotch on the table, it seemed a quarter of the liquid was missing. There were two glasses which looked like they had a bit of whiskey in them.
9. Did you see that bat? Or where was the bat?
I saw the bat after inspecting the body, the bat was about 10m away from the body of Donny and had blood all over it
