Notes

After getting out of the school, I didn't know where to go next. There was still a period left in the day. I decided that the only place left to go was back home. My mom was at work so I'd be alone. Making my way back home was much more difficult than it should have been. I was dizzy and unable to think clearly, which made it difficult to cross the street. I swear I almost got hit by 5 cars. It's a miracle I'm alive... I made it inside and found some bandages in the drawer. I washed off my face and put them on. Now, it wasn't as bad but there was a problem. My family would wonder what happened to me if they saw how I looked. I was looking at myself in the mirror when I heard the garage door open. "Shit, someone's home early." I thought to myself. I was still pretty tired from the fight, so I was acting pretty stupid. I pretended like nothing had happened. Yeah, I know smart plan, what a genius. My mom walked in through the door and looked at me. She turned bright red and started crying. "Dylan what happened!?!" I didn't know what to say, unfortunately for me, I was so tired, I thought saying, "What do you mean, I'm perfectly fine!" Was a good idea. It wasn't. "DYLAN, TELL ME RIGHT NOW!!!" She yelled furiously. I decided to come clean about the fight, but not about the powers. I still managed to keep that a secret. I told her that I was attacked in the hallway, when a teacher came out and stopped it. Then went on to tell her that the kids were being punished as we spoke, and due to my injuries, I came home early. By the looks of it, my mom knew I was lying, but being the nice person she is, she didn't question me further. My mom then called the school, and told them I couldn't go for the rest of the week. "At least one good thing came out of this..." I thought to myself.
