Ayrıca en önemli kişilik özelliklerinden biri olan ileri görüşlülüğü ile geleceğin çocuklara ait olduğunu düşündü ve Dünyada sadece çocuklara has olan 23 Nisan Ulusal Egemenlik ve Çocuk Bayramını tüm Dünya çocuklarına armağan etti.
Hayatını vatanına ve milletine adadığı için bir aile yaşantısı olmayan Atatürk, çocuklara karşı her zaman sevgi dolu olmuştur. Bunu günümüze kadar ulaşan hatıralardan anlayabiliyoruz. Çocuklar onun gözünde Türk milletinin geleceği niteliğindedir ve çok değerlidir.
