1. Dewi Bunga Yunani menemukan seorang peri (nimfa) yang sudah tidak bernyawa.
2. Lalu ia mendatangi Aprodite (Dewi Cinta) untuk memberikannya sedikit kecantikkan.
3. Lalu ia mendatangi Dionysus (Dewa Anggur) untuk menambah pesonanya.
4. Lalu ia mendatangi Zephyr (Angin Barat) untuk meniup awan diatasnya
5. Dengan awan diatasnya ditiup, Apollo (Dewa Matahari) melihatnya dan membuat mawar tersebut mekar.
6. Lahirlah mawar tersebut dan dinobatkan sebagi Ratu Bunga.

pada suatu hari, ada seorang dewa matahari bernama Helios. nah, seperti pada dewa umumnya yang memiliki selir, dia juga punya banyak selir termasuk Clythie, seorang nymph. dan saking cintanya si Clythie sama Helios, dia memanipulasi selir yang lain sampe akhirnya ketauan sama Helios dan diturunkan ke bumi. Clythie sedih tapi Helios gak peduli. Clythie yang masih cinta sama Helios pun selalu memandang ke langit di siang hari ketika Helios dengan kendaraannya sedang bertugas mengitari bumi melewatinya. di malam hari ia menundukkan kepala karena saat malam hari saatnya Helios beristirahat. setiap hari Clythie melakukan hal itu hingga akhir hayatnya. badannya menyatu dengan tanah dan ia menjadi bunga matahari. yang memandang siang hari dan menunduk ketika malam tiba.
