Cheddar Crunch Tacos:

Be sure that everyone is aware of the required fryer glove usage during the frying of the new shell. This was not being enforced at all stores during my visits last week.
Be certain that each team member is aware of the 60-minute hold time of fried shells. And that these are held at room temperature and NOT under heat in an uncovered pan.
Do not fry the new shells to order. They are greasy and very hot when you fry them to order and are not a good visual to the guests when you do this. If you have to fry to order, please let them sit and drain for 3-4 minutes before you build them and serve to the guest. This allows the grease to drain prior to building the taco. Also, having some made and ready during peak meal periods will give you better speed of service each and every time.
There is a 4 hour hold time for shells out of the cooler waiting to be fried.
The thaw time is 24 hours minimum from freezer to cooler.
Many of the Cheddar Crunch tacos were over the allowable weight during my visits. Please utilize the warming up the cook method to ensure portion amounts are correct.
Follow up with your teams on the use of the chicken and beef stickers. These are required to be used on every taco to keep the new sleeve closed during delivery to the guest.
Finally, follow up with your teams on the proper bagging procedure. It should be a 6lb bag as it is a taco. Burritos go in the 12lb bag and tacos go into the 6lb bag unless you have mixed items or a large order.
Breakfast updates:

The good news is that most everyone has put in place the new breakfast changes. Most are aware of the move to the 8" shell for the junior burritos. And most were aware of the move to Pico instead of onions, tomatoes and poblanos.
Be sure that you have removed all the poblanos and roasted corn from the store. And toss out any made Roasted corn pepper salsa and use only Pico moving forward.
Be sure you have covered the protein amount changes on the breakfast items. There are a couple changes in the amount of eggs and breakfast meat on the juniors and the scramblers.
Boss Burritos:

You should be asking each guest if they would like Pico. It should be a conversation like this: "Would you like Pico on your Boss Burrito?" or "The Boss Burrito comes with Pico, is that OK with you?". Or something along those lines.
Kids Meals:

Most stores were aware of the change to milk being the auto populated beverage for kids' meals. Thank you
Make sure that everyone knows that there is an upcharge to soda and that the cup is a 20oz soda. Please remove all kids' cups from the counter and DT. You may use these up as water cups or employee drinks.
