Be Careful When Playing Online Poker
An ante is a small wager that the players make. Players are then dealt 2 cards, one faceup and one down. The pocket card, or face down card, is what players are called. As in 7 card stud poker, the first player to place a bet must have the lowest face up card. The betting round continues with those players to the left of the person who placed the first wager. Once the game begins, a dealer will be assigned. After each hand, the dealer is assigned to the next player. Knowing who is the dealer is important, as it indicates who posts the compulsory bets (known as blinds) before each hand, it also indicates who is first to act in each betting round.
