Whether on a train, or some other location, the easiest time to shoot is when there is a distraction. For example, when the mariachi band enters the car, everyone will be looking at them. You can shoot other passengers without being noticed.

Stocks of once common fish like tuna, cod, halibut and flounder have dropped by 90% since the 1950's. As an example; in the 1960s 800,000 tons of cod were caught off the coast of Newfoundland by 1992 there were just 1,700 tons left.



I find plenty of uses for small plastic bags. They are great for organizing things, keeping track of small items or keeping things dry. I like to have a few zip-lock style sandwich bags in a side pocket.

1st Cast: If you hit the target on the first cast, you can often generate a reaction strike. If you generate a reaction strike, almost any lure will cause a fish to strike. At this point the fish is often just reacting. Be ready to set your hook.

When ready to shoot, take 5 or 10 photos, not just one. If you have an advanced digital camera, in the camera menu, set the shutter to automatically keep shooting as long as the button is pushed. Take 40 - 50 very rapid shots in about 10 seconds. This will guarantee there will be a shot with the eyes open and you can take your best pick and delete the remaining photos to keep the SD storage card empty and ready for the next opportunity.

Finally, a large arbor reel allows for quicker spool change, which on occasion might mean the difference in the number of fish you have the opportunity to catch, or not catch, because you're busy changing reels.

The first cast you make has the highest probability of generating a reaction strike. On certain days, only the first cast will catch fish. If you've ever cast and gotten a strike, but then didn't get any more strikes, the first strike was most likely a reaction strike. You may not get a second chance at a large fish. If your cast is off by even a foot, you might send a lunker into deeper water where it will wait for a more accurate caster to come along and catch it.

Remember that no matter how many of these techniques you use, you are still invading someone's privacy. There is no way around that. So you must feel that what you are photographing is worth the effort.

Fish Shooting Such a transducer is a great boon to all fishermen who want to know what is swimming beneath their boats. The basic need or advantage of a fish finder transducer is explicit. The technique employed by a transducer explains the benefit offered by one. A transducer helps in converting electronic pulses that are emitted by the fish-finder to sound waves that travel down through water. When these waves hit the terrain or a fish, the echo that is returned is picked by the transducer that converts it into electronic pulses. The fish finder converts these pulses into a picture. When the pulse has a higher frequency, the resolution of the image is also better.

Keep track of how many casts it takes you to hit the target? Imagine there is huge fish waiting under the target. Your chances of catching that fish dramatically decrease with each successive cast. The goal is to hit the target directly on the first cast, every time. If you can't do this, practice for a few weeks and it will become second nature. You'll catch more fish, guaranteed.

Nowadays, the majority of the people I know who call themselves vegetarians aren't. They eat fish. Fish-eating does not equal vegetarianism. A fish is an animal too. So why are fish-eaters so reluctant to use the appropriate word - pescetarian? Okay I know it doesn't roll off the tongue that well but perhaps that's partly because its a bit unfamilair - like "vegetarian" was when it was first invented.
