Round 4: The river. This is the final round of betting. The dealer places the fifth card on a table and betting continues in the same manner as round 2.
The next stage in Texas Holdem poker is the Flop. The dealer begins by "burning" a single card by placing the next card face down on the table, followed by the next 3 cards face up on the table. These three cards constitute the flop. Each player now uses their 2 cards and the 3 on the table to make their 5 card poker hand.
Basic poker is usually played "table stakes", meaning that the chips at the beginning and end of each hand cannot be used during the hand. The table stakes rule also has an application called "All-In", which states that a player may not be forced to forfeit a hand of poker if he does not have enough cash to call a bet. A player without enough cash to call a bet can be declared All-In. The player is entitled to the pot up to his final wager. All other action involving players is done in a "sidepot", which is ineligible for the All-In player.
After the blinds have been posted, the dealer will deal cards to each player in a clockwise order, starting with the small blind. Each player will get two hole cards. The button should be pressed to reveal the last card.
Here, the players are dealt five hole cards. Players can discard or draw no more than five cards after the first round. The game is won by the player who has the best five-card poker hand during showdown.
