Round 4: The river. This is the final round. The dealer places the fifth card on the table, and betting proceeds the same way as in round 2 and 3.
After the first betting round ends, the dealer puts 3 cards face-up on the table. This deal is known as a flop. These 3 cards will be shared by all players in order to make their final hand. The players now have 5 cards from the 7 available, and they have a good idea of how their hand is developing. The second round of betting starts at this point.
Another term that is used during rounds. A poker player can raise his bet to increase the amount. If he does so the other player will be forced either to match the raise, or fold.
CHECK - A player can check if there are no wagers on the current betting round. The act of checking passes the action to the next poker player immediately clockwise from him or her. A check does not affect your right to bet, but it does not forfeit your interest in the pot. The round is complete if all players check during a round.
Hands are ranked by the number and quality of their cards. A badugi is ranked higher that a 3- or 2-card hand, and a higher-ranked hand will win over a lower-ranked. If two or more players have the exact same hand, the one with the lowest value wins. Let's take as an example: Hand A could consist of 3spade and 5heart, 6diamonds, 4club (6534) while Hand B would consist of Aspade and 4heart (542A), then hand B will win.
