When visit here or raise on the final betting round is called, the "showdown" occurs. This is when the pot is decided and players are allowed to show their hands one by one. There may not be a showdown. This happens when a player raises or bets and no active players call the player's wager (or all players fold). In this case, the player doing the betting or raising wins the full amount of the pot.
