The pre-flop round of wagering begins, which is before the flop or before the first three community cards have been turned over. The player to the left puts up the little blind and the player to their left posts the bigblind. The bigblind is twice the size of the smaller blind. You should also note that the big blind is equal the limit limit, while the small blind is half the limit. If the limit was $10/20, the bigblind would be $10 and the smallblind would be $5.
