Is LSD Addictive?
LSD or Lysergic acid diethylamide is a semi-synthetic psychedelic drug first synthesized in 1938 by Sandoz pharmacist Albert Hofmann while looking for a lysergic acid derivative. It is a serotonin analogue that interacts with serotonin receptors in the brain to cause hallucinations and other psychological effects.
