CW Associates was founded in July 2008 by Carleton Williams, as the successor to the accounting and auditing practice of a local CPA firm he co-founded 20 years earlier. Carl has more than 30 years of public accounting experience. He also exhibited his outstanding capabilities in an international accounting firm called Deloitte for 11 years wherein he provided audit and consulting services to different businesses and their owners, governments, nonprofit organizations, employee benefit plans, and other entities throughout Hawaii and in the Pacific Islands. Specifically, Carl has a:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Hawaii

- Master’s degree in business administration in finance

- License as a CPA (licensed in the State of Hawaii)

Carl is also a:

- Former president of The Pacific Club

- Former president of the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants (HSCPA)

- Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)

Moreover, Carleton Williams is a past chairman and current board member of many of Hawaii’s finest nonprofit organizations. He represented Hawaii on the AICPA Governing Council and serves on the State Board of Public Accountancy.
