Man Down Alarm systems detect the presence of a fall, or if an impact is detected, they will send a message to the lone worker's employer so they can get help as soon as possible. This can be particularly helpful for lone workers working away from a fixed work base where they may not have access to a phone.

In addition to the fall detection, the Man Down Alert app also has a motion feature that will notify the worker's monitor if there is no movement within a time period, set by the guard. This is useful for preventing false alarms and can be used for a range of activities from three minutes to one hour.

The app can be configured to activate the SOS button with a single press, or long press (configurable) from 1 to 5 seconds. It can also be configured to give feedback audibly or by vibration.

If a Man Down alarm is triggered, a pop-up window will appear on the mobile application for 10 seconds and if the Guard / Lone Worker wants to cancel it, they can do so by pressing on the Cancel button in this window. After this, the event will not be sent to the monitoring centre and the device can be reactivated.
