~Herbologi adalah pelajaran tentang tumbuhan ajaib di dunia sihir. Dalam Herbologi, siswa belajar untuk merawat dan memanfaatkan tanaman, juga belajar tentang sifat magis mereka, dan untuk apa mereka digunakan. Banyak tanaman menyediakan bahan-bahan untuk ramuan dan obat-obatan, sementara yang lain memiliki efek magis tersendiri.Kelas-kelas ini diadakan di halaman Hogwarts, yaitu di rumah kaca.
~Herbologi adalah kelas wajib di
Hogwarts selama lima tahun pertama pendidikan siswa. Pelajaran Herbologi di tahun pertama seorang siswa di Hogwarts terutama terdiri dari ceramah yang berkaitan dengan tanaman dan cara menggunakan mereka. Para siswa mempelajari tentang semak berduri dan Devil’s Snare, dan mempelajari mantra Incendio untuk menangani mereka.

Bulb Bouncing adalah tanaman ajaib yang akan melompat ke sekitar jika tidak terkendali. Batang utama Bouncing Bulb menyerupai bohlam ungu yg tidak proporsional, dengan sekelompok daun tumbuh di atasnya. Bouncing Bulb muda cukup kecil untuk ditangani , tapi yg dewasa dapat mencapai ukuran pintu. Bouncing Bulb bisa menjadi agresif ketika mereka merasa terancam,mereka mungkin akan melompat terhadap penyerang dan mencoba mencelakainya. Untuk menanganinya, dibutuhkan mantra Incendio.
Pada tahun ke empat Harry, Profesor Sprout menyuruh para murid untuk memindahkan tanaman ini ke dalam pot yang baru. Salah satunya melepaskan diri dari genggaman Harry dan memukul wajahnya.
