Everything You Need To Learn About Headphones Apple
Apple Headphones Review

Apple's wireless earbuds and headphones are sleek, comfortable, and blend into the ecosystem seamlessly. The headphones come with a Lightning connector for iPhones and some models have a 3.5mm connector for older devices.

The AirPods Pro sound excellent for films and music, including cinematic spatial audio and fancy virtual surround. They also have unique features such as instant pairing, automatic switching, and "Hey Siri".

Sound

Apple headphones generally provide excellent audio quality, and a majority of them come with noise cancellation. Some of them are wireless and can be used with Apple's AirPods, while others can be connected to your iPhone through an Lightning cable. If you don't have an Lightning cable you can purchase adapters which allow you to connect the headphones via a standard headphone jack. The sound quality of Apple headphones is also affected by the audio codec they employ therefore, you must verify which audio codec is supported.

The headphones that come with the iPhone typically use the Apple AAC codec, which is optimized for Apple devices. This audio codec has a lower latency than other Bluetooth codecs, which makes it suitable for listening to music or podcasts. The best Apple headphones include at least AAC and Bluetooth 5.0 which provides an even wider spectrum than previous versions of the technology.

If you're looking for an immersive audio experience, consider headphones that feature Apple's spatial sound technology. This feature mimics surround sound to give you a more immersive listening experience. However, you'll need to possess an iOS device with iOS 14 or later to utilize this feature.

In addition to providing high-quality audio, some Apple headphones also sport an elegant design. Apple's EarPods are simple and decent earbuds. They fit into most pockets and offer great audio quality.

The Beats Studio3 headphones are more flexible than the EarPods and have a closed-back design that offers better noise isolation for commutes and sports. The headphones are uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, and are not comfortable enough to wear when running. The Apple EarPods are also more expensive and have a heavier build. Despite these flaws they are still a great choice. Beats Studio3 is one of our favorite Apple headphones because they're comfortable to wear, have an amazing sound and offer exceptional noise cancellation. They're built to a high standard and include an advanced audio engine that is compatible with the Apple W1 chip, which offers advanced features.

Design

Apple is known for their sleek design, and headphones from the company aren't any different. Apple offers a range of headphones which include wired models that connect to the headphone port of the iPhone, as well as wireless Bluetooth earbuds. Apple headsets are more expensive, but often sound better.

Apple's AirPods Pro 2 are the most popular headphones in the world, and provide outstanding audio quality and noise cancellation in a compact, sleek package. The earbuds have a long battery life and feature Siri voice control for hands-free usage. The earbuds come with a unique case that recharges them and protects them when they are not in your ears.

The AirPods Pro can track movement, which is helpful when you're working out. The wireless headphones also have an audio feature called spatial that simulates surround sound when you watch videos on an iPhone or iPad with Apple TV, Disney Plus and HBO Max. The feature is a bit disorienting but it's a fun method of listening to movies and TV shows on the move.

Beats Studio 3 Noise Cancelling Wireless headphones is another excellent choice for audiophiles or those who like Apple Music playlists. These earbuds have up to 22 hours of listening time with ANC and 40 hours without, and they feature the Apple W1 chip for easy installation and seamless switching between iOS devices. The earbuds also feature an adjustable "Hey Siri", and wings tips to ensure a secure fit when working out.

Both Apple and Google create earbuds that have their specific ecosystem in mind, however each brand's earbuds come with their strengths. Google's Pixel Buds, for example are more affordable than Apple's AirPods but they come with a longer battery life, a customizable app, and graphic EQ settings.

While Apple's headphones are great for those who rely on the company's tech ecosystem, their controls aren't ideal for everyone else. Their minimalistic designs don't always include a lot of features, and they're missing certain essential functions on their wireless models. They don't have a volume control, and you're expected to make use of Siri to control your music instead.

Connectivity

With the proliferation of Bluetooth headphones options and the removal of headphone jacks on the majority of recent iPhones, wired models are rapidly going the way of the Dodo. For those who prefer to listen with traditional cables, Sony makes a wide range of over-the-ear and on-ear wired headphones that work with all Apple devices. It also offers the first truly wireless earbuds -- the Momentum Free -- that connect via an ultra-low-power, low-range radio signal for an almost wireless listening experience.

If you have a newer Mac make sure that your headphones support Bluetooth 5.0 or later. This version of the protocol offers better audio performance and provides longer battery life than earlier Bluetooth versions. Look through the list of audio codecs supported to ensure that your music files will play.

Look for headphones that have an elongated fit, regardless of the type you choose. Over-ear or on-ear models that have a thick headband provide a secure fit that is less likely to slip off during physical exercise. Headphones Shop need earbuds that are snug and seal the ears and provide good noise cancellation to block out any background noise.

The top wireless headphones are the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation), Beats X Wireless and Beats Studio Wireless and Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II. The AirPods have outstanding sound quality, superior wireless Bluetooth pairing and a sleek design. They have earned a high customer rating of 4.5 out of 5. The Beats Studio Wireless are similar to the Pro model, but have modern design, superior noise cancellation and a long battery life.

The Quiet Comfort 35 II, the latest version of Bose's quiet comfort line, provides noise cancellation, a long battery life and a snug fit all in a compact portable case. The QC35 II is an upgrade from the previous model, adding support for the new AAC audio codec, as well as a new wireless connection protocol that enables higher Bluetooth speeds and lower latency.

If your headphones don't connect with your Mac Try resetting the Bluetooth preferences. Click the Apple logo on your desktop and select System Settings. Look for your headphones on the list and then click the in front of their name. You may need to switch the headphones into pairing mode by pressing the pairing button until you see the status light.

Value

AirPods Pro are an impressive pair of headphones, regardless of whether you think they're worth $549. The smart features like auto-pause and transparency mode are super practical and the sound quality is amazing. They also feel incredibly well-built as is often the case with wireless headphones.

Of course, that sort of sophisticated functionality comes at a cost and for a lot of people the AirPods are too expensive. The AirPods Pro are a great alternative for people who already have a strong connection to the Apple ecosystem. The AirPods Pro use the same H1 chipset used in the iPhone's latest generations speakers to analyze the sound coming from the eight microphones positioned around and inside the earcups. This enables the headphones to not only actively block out outside noise, but also to tailor your music's sound in real-time to how they fit and close around your head. Apple claims it can adjust 200 times every second to your music, which is a staggering number. The result is a pair of headphones that truly feel alive, with a cinematic depth and clarity that's a class of their own. AirPods Pro can make even the most basic tracks sound dramatic and enveloping.

Prior to the release of the AirPods, Apple used to include an EarPod with wired connections in every iPhone box and the earbuds are still available with either an Lightning or 3.5mm headphone plug (though they no longer have a microphone). They're not as impressive as the new AirPods, but they're still great for commuting or exercising on a treadmill. They have an excellent battery life and a comfortable fit.

Beats' original line of earbuds and over-the ear headphones was bought by Apple in 2014, however, they've largely remained the same, with the exception of upgrading to a more advanced W1 chip and USB-C charging. The company is expected to discontinue the Beats brand at some point but collaborations with artists and occasional updates such as the Beats Solo3 USB-C with the newer H1 processor could make them more relevant.
