An In-Depth Look Into The Future What's In The Pipeline? Counter Strike New Industry Look Like In 10 Years?
Counter Strike New Revealed

Valve finally announced Counter Strike New after weeks of speculation. It's a major update to CS:GO that will bring it onto the Source 2 engine.

It also introduces sub-tick server update and responsive smoke grenades. It's made a lot of armchair gamers scream, but it looks like an upgrade for the average player.

Smokes

Counter Strike New is getting an overhaul that will completely change the method of using smokes in the game. These changes are being dubbed as responsive smokes and are a huge game changer. Smokes will expand to fill areas and move around the map to move around objects. They will also respond to the lighting in the game, which will make them look better and more realistic. In addition to these new features, smokes will now be capable of interacting with gameplay events and will offer new tactical opportunities. Bullets, for instance, will push smoke to temporarily clear the sightlines. Hex grenade blasts will also disperse smoke occlusion.

The most significant change to smokes is that they will become a more active part of the game. Smokes in previous versions were a fixed shape and was limited in terms of how far they could travel and how much vision they blocked. But, the smokes are now able to expand to fill the space they are within and block more of the player's vision when they are in it. This is a significant improvement that will make the game more exciting and provide both teams with the same view.

In addition, smokes will now react to the surroundings, weaponry, and lighting in the world space. This will make smoke more realistic and offer players different ways to use it to gain an edge over their opponents. This is particularly beneficial during the chaotic 5v5 battles that are sure to happen on every map.

Smokes are no longer a one-way. This was a major issue in CSGO, as it allowed players to see the position of their opponent behind the smoke. Twistzz is a well-known CS:GO pro, says that the new system is a huge improvement for competitive CS2 and will make it more fair for both teams.

Other minor enhancements include adjusting smoke particles vertically to decrease the impact of edges, and updating the spectator's smoke overlay visuals so that they correspond to their camera's location. Also, the expiration of smokes has been revised to be more in with the visuals of how they fade onto the screen.

Loadouts

Players of CS:GO can now modify their weapon selection prior to the start of every match. The new loadout system allows players to select weapons that fit their style of play and team's strategy. The new system adds depth to the game as players must balance both the power of their weapons and their utility.

In addition to the brand new loadouts In addition to the new loadouts CS: GO update includes a number of other enhancements and changes. https://clash.gg/ , the purchase menu has been completely revamped. The old buy wheel was replaced by a customizable grid which shows all purchase options simultaneously. The grid is comprised of five pistols as well as five "mid-tier weapons" such as submachine guns, shotguns and rifles.

The new system is simple to use and will give players more control over their weapon selection. It will let them choose the weapons which best suit their playstyle, team strategy and try out different combinations. It also allows them to test out their abilities against other players' loadouts and find out how they stack up.

While many players are pleased with the additional flexibility, others have complained about it deviating from the essence of Counter-Strike. They also expressed concern about the impact it will have on map-specific loadsouts and agent's skins dependent on visibility.

In spite of these criticisms the new loadout system will be tested in greater detail in the coming months. Certain of these issues may be addressed in future updates. It is crucial to keep up-to-date for more information.

In addition to the new CS: GO features, the latest update also includes Workshop Tools, which can be enabled through the game's settings menu. They allow community contributors to design weapons finishes, stickers, and maps. The update will also live the players who are in violation of VAC guidelines in matches.

The latest CS GO update will be released in the coming summer. Players can now check out the complete list of features and updates by visiting the official CS: GO site.

Sub-Tick Updates

The world of Counter-Strike is updated by the server in discrete increments of time called ticks. Valve is determined to ensure that CS: GO is responsive and smooth. The smallest delay could affect the accuracy of the shot. A new video highlights one of the game's most significant under-the-hood improvements, known as sub-tick updates.

Instead of a 64-tick update every millisecond, CSGO is now able to use sub-ticks, or as Valve calls it, "micro ticks", to communicate with servers. Each of these tiny increments of time will be recorded by the client and sent to the server, which then send back the latest game state to players. The servers will now know the exact moment you fired your shot or jumped, peeked or made other inputs.

While a minute-long video is not enough to explain everything, the video explains that every piece of data sent by clients has a timestamp, and that the server will gather all the information from all players in chronological order prior to sending it back. According to the video, a CS: GO server will now be able to transmit more than twice the data as a 64-tick servers.

This means that even the tick rate of the game increased to 128 Hz, it will still be able to handle your commands immediately. It's not just about increasing the tick rate, either; micro-tick updates also reduce latency and input lag by guaranteeing that the server responds to your actions with no delays or glitches.

Valve's technical enhancements to the game are just the beginning. The company is implementing dynamic smoke and particle systems to improve the way smoke interacts with the surrounding and is upgrading all of the maps with high-resolution lighting, textures and models. Source 2 tools and features will be used to update all CS cosmetics and weapons.

Maps

The next update for Counter Strike New brings new maps, as well as a few classics with facelifts. These updates are being tested in an unspecified beta. The first set of updates includes an upgrade and touchstone map that won't see any significant changes to gameplay, whereas other maps have been completely revamped or rebuilt using the brand new Source 2 Tools.

Overpass is one of these maps that was reworked in order to benefit from the new engine's unified light system. The map's eerie underground has been flooded with daylight, making it more spacious and less crowded. Smoke grenades are now expanding dynamically to fill in spaces, and interact with the light.

Another map that's been reworked is Italy that has been given major changes to texture lighting, structure, and lighting. The new version has a more balanced and natural feel than the previous version, which was heavily CT focused. Fans can expect more classics, like Aztec and Militia, to be revamped in the near future.

While many of these maps are still accessible in other modes, they're not added to the competitive map pool. The exception is Train which has been pulled out of Active Duty and will continue to be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet confirmed whether the other maps that were removed will be added back to the pool.

One of the more controversial updates is one that was created by Helsingin Sanomat, Finland's national newspaper. The newspaper has been vocal in its criticism of Russia's actions against Ukraine. This map is based on the war-torn Donetsk. The map is called de_voyna and includes a number references to the conflict.

In the future, the developer will be releasing a set of Source 2 tools for community map makers to make their own maps. This will include features such as improved lighting and character read, as well as physically-based rendering that produces realistic materials, textures and reflections. It will also make real-world objects like windows and doors, easier to use. The update is expected to release sometime this summer.
