Unit 4
~photosynthesis makes sugar out of carbon dioxide
~Chloroplast (Chlorophyll) does photosynthesis
~Photosynthesis makes energy into (sugar) (NADPH is the chaperone for plants) ATP which is usable for a lot of things.
~Respiration is glycolysis, electron transport (NADH is the chaperone for animals), krebs cycle
~Respiration occurs in the mitochondria
~Respiration releases energy from the sugar molecules to form 38 ATP which is used for transportation.
Unit 5
~Cells divide because the volume gets too big for the SA so it cuts in half to help transportation/traffic.
~Interphase is when the chromosomes double, and the cell gets bigger and prepares to divide.
~Mitosis-two body cells dividing into two identical cells for growth and repair. One cycle.
~Meiosis-two reproductive cells dividing into four varietious cells for reproduction. Two cycles.
~Cytokinesis is when the cytoplasm divides which makes the cell divide fully.

-Purpose: growth reproduction
-Kinds: body sex cells
-Cycles: 1 2

-Types: Diploid (2n) Haploid (n)

~Law of Segregation: Two alleles will pass on different forms of the gene
~Law of Independent Assortment: when two cells will be moved differently
~Gene: sequence of DNA
~allele: different versions of a gene
~Incomplete Dominance is a mix
~Complete Dominance is the regular
~Multiple Alleles: blood
~Polygenic Traits: skin color
~Sex-linked: traits passed on like genetic disorders
