They're light enough to carry in your bag or backpack without much discomfort, and will remain comfortably in place for long listens. A sturdy hinge on the back of the headband allows you to fold them for easy transport in a protective case.

The headphones are powered by Bluetooth 5.2 and the aptX Adaptive. This is ideal for high-resolution audio as well for a tight video sync. You can play the headphones wired, too, with the included 3.5mm cable that connects to the USB-C port on the right earcup. The headphone's status indicator is an excellent feature, flashing green to indicate rapid charge and solid blue when Bluetooth pairing is in progress.

The B&W App provides the same control options that the buttons on the hardware provide such as bass and treble adjustments, action button assignments wear detection, a cycle of ANC modes as well as other features. When you listen to music on your iPhone the app displays album cover and track titles. headphones stores like music presets, soundscapes and music mode are not available, however.

The Anker Soundcore Life Q20 are a good pair of headphones that can be a great choice for anyone who wants to kill some time or simply wants a low-cost pair of noise-cancelling headphones. The headphones come with a basic case that will protect them when you throw them into the bag. The battery will last multiple long-haul flights. Their ANC does a great job of blocking out chatty seatmates and engine rumbles from an airplane, although their audio profile is a bit heavy and warm.

The controls on the Life Q20 are well-marked and easy to use. On the left earcup, you'll find buttons to pair and power up the headphones, as well as turning on and off the active noise cancellation.
