For this assignment, you need to find a popular press article (written in the past year) about an OB topic (e.g., personality at work, organizational culture, job satisfaction, motivation, teamwork, work-life balance, leadership, etc…) that has been or will be covered in class. Examples of the popular press include the Wall Street Journal, CNN.com, Business in Vancouver, Vancouver Sun, Globe and Mail, New York Times, etc… You can find the article online or in print, but you must submit a copy of the article with your assignment. For this assignment, you need to do the following:

Briefly summarize the article.
Describe the OB concept(s) covered in the article and how they are similar and/or different from how they are discussed in the course/text.
Identify the implications of this OB issue for companies, managers, and/or employees.
What is missing from the article? Is there another OB concept or theory that should have been addressed that wasn’t?
Evaluate the source: Is there anything about the author or publication that may influence the article frame or content? Is there another perspective that could be considered?
Format: One page, single spaced, 11 point font, times new roman, 1 inch margins, your name, tutorial, and TA name in upper right corner of header. (no cover page)

Grading: This assignment is worth 20 points and will be graded using the same rubric for Homework #1. Be sure to include a copy of the article when you submit the assignment.

Article: The popular press article should be relatively short (approx. 1000 words) covering a topic of interest to managers and organizations. This article should not come from an academic journal or a non-news website.

Submission: Upload one PDF or DOC document to Canvas with your assignment and article in the same document.
