Somewhere below the surface, workers in Japan discover a peculiar looking diamond. This diamond, however, has a hidden secret discovered by a small group of scientists. the diamond contains a never-before seen power source, more powerful than nuclear and able to power all the world's electricity for extended periods of time. Afraid of Dr. Wily's possible attempts to steal the diamond, it is locked up in a special facility, featuring a state-of-the-art security system.
However, the next day, the diamond is missing, along with the facility being torn apart. Not long after, eight robots claiming to be working for Wily start to rampage the streets.
MEGA MAN: Dr. Light! The City Is Being Destroyed! I've Got To Confront Those Robots!
DR. LIGHT: It's Too Dangerous, Mega Man! Those Robots Are Extremely Powerful!
MEGA MAN: That Doesn't Matter! I Need To Save Those People! Don't Worry About Me!
DR. LIGHT: Be Careful, Mega Man!
--------------------------------------------AFTER DEFEATING ALL THE ROBOT MASTERS-----------------------------------------------------
After defeating the eight robots, Mega Man discovers that small pieces of each diamond are placed in the energy core of each respective robot, and brings them back to Dr. Light.
However, when the eight RMs are defeated, Dr. Light and Roll are missing from the laboratory.
MEGA MAN: What's going on? Where is everybody?
DR. LIGHT'S SCREEN FLASHES
MAN ON SCREEN: Mega Man, I have taken Dr. Light and his robots hostage. If you pursue me, I will have you destroyed, Along with Roll and Dr. Light.
MEGA MAN: Wily? Is That You?
THE SCREEN FLASHES AND TURNS OFF.
MEGA MAN: I can't let this happen! C'mon, Rush!
The two storm off to Wily's fortress.

DR. WILY: Please, Mega Man! I'm sorry! I'll have everything returned!
MEGA MAN: First, show me where Dr. Light and my friends are!
DR. WILY: I'm Afraid I Can't Do That Mega Man.
MEGA MAN: What? Why?
DR. WILY: Because I Didn't Take Them.
MEGA MAN: What?!
DR. WILY: I Have No Idea What You're Talking About, I Didn't Kidnap Anybody.
MEGA MAN: No More of Your Lies, Wily! I Know What You're Up To!
MEGA MAN: If You Don't Talk, I Will Shoot You Right Here!
DR WILY: You Can't Shoot A Human! You're Nothing But A Robot!
MEGA MAN: I AM MORE THAN A ROBOT!!!!
Megaman Shoots And Kills Dr Wily. The End.
