It is simple to make a fish head with some basic supplies. Foam, batting, fabric and a piece foam will be needed. You'll need to trace the shape of your fish and then cut it out. Sew together the head using a 1/2" seam allowance. Decorate the fish head with craft felt eyes in white or black, add gills and glitter, or draw on gills.
It is slightly more difficult to add the fins. For the fin, you will need a large, matching piece of fabric and matching rubber. For this, you will need to sew a matching piece fabric to the fin using a 1/2" seam allowance.
The fins and tail are quite a challenge, but it's worth the effort. The fins consist of a piece rubber that is shaped in the shape of a tadpole and are backed by fabric to provide stability. Even Fish Costume Adults can be added to the back for extra stability!
Use this costume to scare people to death at a party for Halloween or to terrorize sea creatures! The costume is also great for anyone who enjoys underwater adventures. If you attach a hook at the front of your head, you can either use it as a deadly lure or to try to entice prey to come out of the water.
