Hunter Valley Attractions
The Hunter region, mostly known as Hunter Valley, belongs to New South Wales. It extends from approximately 120 km (75 miles) to 310 km (193 miles) north of Sydney, Australia with the approximate population of 645,395 people. The Region has the Hunter River as well as tributaries with areas to north and south. The valley is a the largest river valleys about the New South Wales coast, which is familiar due to the wineries and coal industry.

The Hunter Valley is but one with the major tourist destinations in Australia. Lots of people look at the valley to refresh and renew their mind and soul. It has recently been awarded through the designation of 6th most used invest Australia. The valley attracts greater than 2.5 million people in just about every year. Pokolbin will be the central place with the Hunter Valley Wine Country. It stands between the towns of Cessnock and Branxton, almost 50 km west of Newcastle. The Pokolbin has a huge amount of vineyards, restaurants, shops, golf courses and country guesthouses. The other parts of the Hunter Valley including the Wollombi Valley and Broke Fordwich Wine Region are also famous for wine.

The magic begins just two hours' drive from Sydney. The beauty and tranquility in the region provide a sense quiet country charm. Widely called Wine Country, the Valley is often a feast for your senses. Pass your time sampling a number of Australia's finest wines and get high quality cuisine. The climate of the valley is different from Mediterranean. In summer it is warm with rain, in winter it's cool. The region also experiences a subtropical effect, Because of maritime effects in the Pacific Ocean.

Can Hunter Valley vineyard tours do over just food and wine? Of course you can. There are plenty of things you can do inside the Hunter. It is not just tasting the wine and cheese tours. Aside from as a foodies dream, the Hunter Region is known for a rich background and historical architecture, most of which you can observe at various museums and historical tours. The valley also boasts an abundance of wildlife inside a world class national park then one of Australia's most scenic golf courses. You may try a champagne breakfast with a sunrise balloon flight or take romantic horse and carriage ride over the vineyards. You may visit excellent Tomago House, a national trust home, please take a steam train ride. You can also have a joyful flight or possibly a helicopter flight; get a trike ride and lots more.

How to arrive at the Valley? Well, it can be only couple of hours distance in the north of Sydney. The best way to explore and experience Hunter Valley journey is rent a vehicle.
