Microsoft announced that they have sold 176 million copies of Minecraft which is a huge leap over the 156 million figures it announced just seven months ago. Despite more buzz around games like Fortnite, Microsoft has kept the game fresh with things like the Dungeons online co-op, a browser-free version, a upcoming movie and now, an augmented reality game called Minecraft Earth. Microsoft also announced that it had reached 200 million registered users of the Microsoft China edition, and that 130 million Minecraft "Hour of Code” sessions have been completed.
These numbers could be significantly higher as it ramps up the beta program for Earth. Skins The new game is more immersive than Pokemon Go, the mobile AR champion. It's very exciting. Microsoft plans to gradually roll out Minecraft Earth to the world, with an open beta beginning this summer.
