Update is coming soon We've started receiving weekly snapshots. But, things aren't as they appear. This snapshot includes a lot of the features that will be included in the minor 1.19.3 update. In a different blog article, the development team outlined that they plan to begin releasing these minor updates more often and usually during the process of building the major ones.



We'll run through everything that's included in this snapshot, so can dive right into it and begin playing on Minecraft Java Edition.





Experimental features





One of the main features of the new update process is that 1.20 features will be added to the 1.19.3 features. To make it easier for developers they've added a new toggle in the menu called "experimental features". They will let both developers and you switch incompatible features on and off from the "data pack" menu when creating a new world , letting users test features that might be incomplete without having to remove them in order to get official updates.





1.20 Features





Minecraft All major features for update 1.20 were announced at . Hanging signs, chiseled bookshelves , and bamboo wood are just a few of the features that were announced. Creative inventory changes





The creative inventory can be complicated if you don't possess an in-depth understanding of each item in Minecraft. This update should make the process simpler. The tabs have been revamped to keep the same types of blocks in the same order. Instead of listing every kind and variety of wood log, then every kind and variety of wood plank, it will list every item that is "oak" followed by "birch", then so on.

Items that fall under different categories will now be displayed in different tabs instead of being forced to fit into one. Of of course, if you do not want to combine all of that the search bar remains there.





New wood sounds





All kinds of wood have been added a touch of class by making different sounds when they're broken, placed, or stepped on. They are split into three categories which are nether, overworld and bamboo. This goes a step further to differentiate different wood types and add a bit of audio variety to the Minecraft world.





Bundles





This feature was originally planned to be included in The Wild Update is finally back as an experimental feature. These storage solutions are simple and let you store items of different kinds in a single inventory slot that can accommodate up to 64 items fitting inside. While it won't increase your inventory, it doesn't let you arrange it better or gather items that you only have the smallest amount of. This feature has been largely ignored since it was eliminated. To enable it in the game, you'll need to click the button.
