AMA Responses 01

I've received a number of responses to my request to Ask Me Anything. Certain questions can be answered quickly while others require a complete post.



These are some suggestions that don't need an additional post.



Nicolas asked What's the background story behind your blog logo?



There is no story that can be told. I wanted to design a logo that would be simple and simple, a monogram of my initials, but I couldn't make the K & Q look good together. I employed an Fiverr freelancer to design it.



Thelma asked: I'm wondering what can you do to make you hopeful for the future?



It's not too much. The world is heading to hell, mortgages are increasing, the world is getting hotter. Over-population is getting worse and because of that we're running out of resources.



These are the main reasons why my wife and me decided to adopt instead of having biological children. I worry about how the next generation is going to handle the next generation.



Joel asked: Joel, I don't see a lot videogame talk in your posts. Are you not interested in them? What about your children?



I'm not particularly keen on gaming because I don't have time. I occasionally play Sudoku and Among Us on my phone however, that's all. I do own an Xbox however, I'm unable to remember the last time I switched it on.



I play Minecraft with my oldest son, but it's rare as I don't get lots of time for myself these days.



Joel also asked: Also If you had to wear a hat for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?



I don't really like hats; they don't suit me (I have a massive head). mcdev.net I suppose it would be my helmet for my motorbike, and I'd be on my bike all day.



Do you think this is a form of cheating?



Dusan asked: I was wondering how you balance your time between work, family and hobbies such as running Fosstodon. Are you organized or more chaotic and figuring things out on the moment?



In the meantime What kind of music do you listen to?



I'm extremely organized. I'm also one of those people who don't like to let things sit around. I like to just get sh*t done. So I jump in and start working, and if I make mistakes along the way, I can always loop back and fix them.



In the end, I have very little time to myself. Whatever time I do have, I try to make sure to spend it away from computers for the entirety - usually outdoors, like walking my dogs or riding my motorbikes, etc. It is important to take time to relax.



Music is my favorite genre. Classic rock like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Toto, Rolling Stones and AC/DC. Some pop, some indie and everything else in between. I don't really like any genre. That would be music doing a disservice. If I like a song, I love it. Whatever the genre.
