Ο πατέρας μας είχε ένα μπουρδέλο. Βιάζοντας τις μάνες μας που δούλευαν ως πουτάνες σε αυτόν, γεννηθήκαμε εμείς. Πρώτος ο Gar, ο οποίος πήρε κάτω από τη φτερούγα του τον Gelbin και ουσιαστικά μεγάλωσαν μαζί. Ο πατέρας τους τους είχε σαν δούλους και τους έβαζε να κάνουν εργασίες ενώ τους κακομεταχειριζόταν. Ο Gar γεννήθηκε από μάνα Orc, καθώς αυτή ήταν το κύριο βίτσιο του πατέρα, Osborn. Μια μέρα το έσκασαν ενώ τους είχε στείλει για δουλειά ο Osborn και από τότε ζούσαν στο δρόμο. Ο Gelbin είχε έμφυτο το ταλέντο στη μαγεία το οποίο το έκρυβε λόγω του πατέρα του. Του έμεινε αυτή η συνήθεια και το κρύβει γενικά από όλο τον κόσμο. Ο Gar, όντας μισό Orc, ήταν πιο μεγαλόσωμος από τα υπόλοιπα halfling και έκρυβε πάντα το πράσινο δέρμα του, φορώντας μανδύα και καμπούριαζε για να φαίνεται στο ύψος που θα έπρεπε.
