-select program problems

-type control panel on the search bar and open it
-select programs uninstall a program
-you can see quickbooks listed there
-select quickbooks
-select uninstall/change (in the upper left corner of your screen)
-select remove
-reinstall QB desktop
-(try to open your company file)

- windows + R
-type control panel then select okay
-select system and security
-select change user account control settings (highlighted with blue)
-move the slider and set to never notify and select ok to turn UAC off (if prompted by UAC click yes)
-restart computer
-try opening QB to run that update
