Addictions are brain diseases. It could be from drugs, cigarettes, gambling, masturbation, etc. Beat an addiction is not only controlling thyself. Addiction's work logic makes the pleasure circuits non-powerful. Lack of power perhaps could be permanent. That is adhered to for people with drugs, how often use the drug. That is a summary of what is addiction. The reward system is one of the primitive systems. The reward system's main purpose is to reinforce people's survival system. For example when you eat sth., the system wanna eat more; it cause why people, who can eat sth., do not die starving without request because wanna eat sth again in the future. When someone had started drugs, the brain changes. Why? Because when the brain feels addictive substances, the brain is triggered more than the previous trigger another simple example is harmful drugs which surge 10 more times dopamine as natural rewards. The brain gonna remember how it was affected by drugs and linked drugs pleasure. While using the drugs continues, the brain is more sensitive than the first time and wanna more drugs, this gonna continue. No longer the first dopamine amount is enough for the brain.
