Ash What is your favorite speedrun category?
Illumina: I love running the Diversity 2 mod and I also love custom speedruns on maps. Probably because it's a nice variation from the randomness of unmodified Minecraft categories. The unmodded categories, however, are unique in their own ways. https://mcdev.net/ Random glitchless seeds are my favorite. It's super enjoyable to think of random routes, even though the luck can be super harsh at times.
Ash: You hold the world record for unmodified runs, aren't you?
Illumina: I've got the world record in random seed glitched to any. Glitched categories are less popular, which is understandable as the game can become quite broken. I like glitchless more because it just feels like the classic Minecraft I love.
Ash Do you have a particular glitch you like to perform?
Illumina: Most likely dragon skips because it's extremely simple to do. Place an end crystal when you are at the end, then the dragon won't appear and the portal to the end is activated. It's simple and avoids the more difficult newer dragon fights (1.9+).
