Posting your current whereabouts to the internet makes it easy for thieves and burglars to find your home. It also tells them that your home is not occupied, which can make it a prime target for break-ins.
Even if you are on a vacation, never post your location or details about your trip online until you’re back home. This will avoid giving criminals an open invitation to rob your home or car, especially when you’re thousands of kilometers away from it for two weeks or more.

4. Get to Know Your Neighbors
Getting to know your neighbors is a great way to make your home safer. They will be able to watch out for your property and call the police if something suspicious happens.
